Our Services
Our Plan
- Currently, there are 35 Veterans and/or families that are in need of housing in Cuyahoga County.
- Step Into Housing has raised $35,000 through private donors.
- Donations and funds are used towards the down payment on a house and the upkeep of the properties and additional fees that would finance the properties.
- Once houses are purchased residents will pay fair market price for the monthly rent through a housing voucher (HUDVASH Loan). The voucher will pay for the mortgage on each house. Residents will be vetted through the Volunteers of America and the VA.
- Residents will receive monthly home visits where they can be linked to community resources for mental health, benefits, recovery and medical needs.
- Mansour/Gavin LLC provides legal assistance to the organization
- A Property Management Plan is in place for each property.
- If Veteran residents do move out of the properties, the VA works closely with surrounding counties that work to provide homeless Veterans housing in Ohio.
