Our Mission
Step Into Housing, a non-profit 501c3 organization provides safe, permanent affordable housing for unhoused veterans where residents gain a sense of dignity responsibility, and independence. With the assistance of social service agencies, Step Into Housing provides for the well-being and needs of each resident. The goal of Step Into Housing is to end the crisis of unhoused veterans in Cuyahoga County.
The Need
Housing insecurity in the veteran population is a growing problem.
Rising rents and falling vacancies, as well as the overall increase in the cost of living, are contributing to the issue.
The problem may be complex, but our mission is simple … to provide safe, permanent, affordable housing for those veterans in need in Cuyahoga County.
Volunteers, donors, corporate sponsors, and service agencies all work together to make the dream of providing stable housing for the veteran community possible.
Donations and funds are used towards down payments on homes, ongoing property maintenance, and providing additional mental health support to assist veterans in successful reintegration into their communities.
Together, we can build a future where no veteran faces unhousedness, providing hope and support to those who have served our country.
